[THE STAGE IS MINE] Make Your Presence Known!

Good stage presence is critical when you want to get the public's attention for you to successfully convey your message to them. Even as early as high school, students should have already mastered the skill in public speaking; but unfortunately, college students like us are still not confident when it comes to public speaking.

Do not fret because there is no threat!!! Every problem has a solution!!!

Here are some findings that i have observed from people that did not only kept me awake in their speech but also kept me motivated to learn more.

OBS1: THEY ALL LOOKED NEAT AND CLEAN.

Speakers who looked neat and clean gave me a good impression that they really made an effort or they really valued the opportunity for them to speak in front of the us.

OBS2: THEY ALL LOOKED CONFIDENT.

Speakers who looked confident gave me a feeling that they know what they were talking about and the information that i am getting from them are credible. Normally, speakers that were passionate in sharing their ideas often encourages audience to listen to them more.

OBS3: THEY ALL SAID SOMETHING THAT I WAS ABLE TO RELATE WITH.
Speakers who said something that i was able to relate with left the most impact in my memory. Once a speaker is able to get the empathy of the audience, the audience would be hooked up with the speaker. This can be done by telling stories or sharing experiences.

OBS4: THEY ALL MADE AN EFFORT TO KEEP THE SESSION ALIVE.

Speakers who incorporated audience interaction in their session often reduces the percentage of having sleepy audience. Different techniques of audience interaction may include: asking of questions, cracking of jokes, going around the audience.

4 TIPS FOR YOU TO OWN THE STAGE. IF PEOPLE OBSERVE THE SAME QUALITIES IN YOU, THEN YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL.
P.S. USEFUL FOR REPORTING!
PEACE~
